When an Ethiopian eunuch was reading a passage from Isaiah he was asked by Philip, "Do you understand what you are reading?" The eunuch replied, "How can I, unless someone guides me?" (Acts 8:30-31). God has given the church evangelists, shepherds and teachers to help equip other seekers (Ephesians 4:11-12). What a wonderful blessing from God.
However, it is important to remember: no man is inspired today. These short videos are uninspired. The thoughts presented represent the fruit of my (the minister) studies and could be wrong. Sincere, but wrong all the same. Ultimately, you need to seek out God's word on your own. You want to be like the Samaritans in John 4:42, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world." You want to be like the "noble Bereans" in Acts 17:11 who, "received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so." So, as John wrote long ago in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.". May God bless us all as we seek to better understand Him!
Having said that, these videos are meant to help those new in the faith. Or perhaps Christianity is something you're curious about and you're looking for a basic idea of what it's all about! That's the audience I have in mind. No topic is covered thoroughly, but they will hopefully point you in the right direction. Each video will be somewhere between the 5-7 minute mark (forgive me if I go a little longer)!
